George F. Atwell, Jr., 53, of Hanover, died Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at UPMC Hanover Hospital.
Born on Thursday, April 25, 1968 in Westminster, MD, he was the son of Lennie “Rose” Atwell of Westminster, MD and the late George F. Atwell, Sr. George was a 1986 graduate of South Carroll High School in Sykesville, MD.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, is a daughter, Lilly Atwell; a grandson, Justin Huff, Jr., both of Hanover; three sisters, Karen Gartland and her husband, Mike, Lisa Porter and her husband, Mark, all of New Windsor, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Rachel Atwell.
A private service for the family will be held at a later date.
