Gayle E. Smith, 85, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Hanover Hospital.
Born on Thursday, July 3, 1930 in New Oxford, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Grace Myers Rickrode. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Bernard S. Smith, who died in 2001; three sisters, Maribel Baker, Jane Myers and Lucille Kopp; and a brother, Dale Rickrode. Gayle was a 1949 graduate of Eichelberger High School.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private service is planned with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery.
