Gail E. Morelock

Gail Elizabeth Morelock, 62, of Hanover, beloved wife of Michael W. Morelock, died Saturday, July 21, 2018 at her home following a brave battle with ovarian cancer.

Born on Friday, August 12, 1955 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Miriam Carey Slick. She was a 38 year employee with Hanover Wire Cloth until its merger with New York Wire Cloth.

A lover of animals, she volunteered Stateline K-9 and enjoyed many hours training her beloved Belgian Shepherd, Vex. Gail was friendly and fun, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed riding Harley motorcycles.

In addition to her husband of 37 years, she is survived by a son, Tyson Michael Morelock and his fiancé, Jessica Reed; a daughter, Toya Nicole Fissel and her husband, Ryan, all of Littlestown; four grandchildren; a sister, Cindy States and her husband, Keith of Hanover; a brother, Robert Slick and his wife, Joan of Huntington and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Vicky Slick and Kim Andrews.

Following cremation, there will be a gathering of friends and family from 12 to 1 pm Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Samuel Garrett offering a blessing and a prayer at 1 pm.
