Frederick E. Wolf, 54, of Hanover, loving companion of Dorothy F. Wetherington, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Hanover Hospital following a period of declining health.
Born on December 5, 1957 in Hanover, he was a son of Richard and Gladys Feeser Wolf of Hanover. A member of the South Western High School Class of 1975, he was employed as a foreman with J. A. Myers Building and Development for many years. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his companion of 15 years and his parents, he is survived by his children, Eric Wolf and his wife, Missy, of Hanover and Jessica Wolf of McSherrystown; a granddaughter, Kiana Smith of McSherrystown; four sisters, Elaine Klinedist, Teresa Glass and her fiancé, Dave Glass, Sandy Berkheimer and her husband, Donnie, and Diane Wagner and her late husband, Travce; five brothers, Joe Wolf and his companion, Cindy, Stanley Wolf and his wife, Deb, Jason Wolf and his wife, Angie, Doug Wolf and his wife, Kim, and Brian Wolf and his companion, Heidi Arentz, all of Hanover and many nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Thursday, July 26, 2012 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 220 Third Street, Hanover with The Rev. John D. Schmalhofel serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery, Abbottstown. Pallbearers will be his son and brothers. The family will receive friends at a viewing from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover, with a prayer service being held at 8 pm.
