Services: The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church by The Rev. Timothy Marcoe. Burial will follow in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Cemetery in Abbottstown.
Visitation: The viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Frances M. Hickey, 87, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Hanover Hall.Born on May 9, 1922 in Stanford, CT, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Fahey Hickey. She was the last of her immediate family, as she was preceded in death by her sisters, Josephine Hickey, Patricia Hickey Allewelt and Susan Hickey Brown and a brother, Edward Hickey. She was employed as a legal secretary by various law firms in New York City. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Laurel Hickey Hooton, Mark Hickey, Edward Hickey, Mary Hickey Timmons, Patrick Hickey and Candace Hickey Null.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Hanover and Spring Grove; 440 N. Madison Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
