Visitation: Viewing will be Tuesday evening 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover.
Florine Ann Bobbie Braun, 74, formerly of Hanover and more recently of Las Vegas, NV, passed unexpectantly into the hands of her Lord Tuesday, September 4, 2007 with her loving husband George by her side. Born on December 8, 1932 in Hagerstown, MD, Bobbie was the daughter of the late George and Hazel Doval Kauffman. Bobbie and George resided in their home on Broadway in Hanover for 53 years before moving to Las Vegas. It was there that she made a comfortable and loving home for her husband and four sons, preparing wonderful family dinners that will long be remembered by the family and their frequent guests. There's a special place in heaven for a mother of four sons. She attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Broadway. Bobbie and her husband were members of The Potomac River Fish and Game Club, Williamsport, MD where the Braun's had many family gatherings for more than twenty years. She enjoyed long walks and was very fond of her pets that she adopted from the SPCA. More than anything else, she loved to spend time with her family and was especially proud of granddaughters. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 57 years George J. Braun Sr. Left to cherish her memory are her four sons Allen Braun and his wife Elaine of Dover,PA, Edwin Braun and his wife Sharon of Hanover, Douglas Braun and his wife Candi of Hanover and George Braun Jr. of Las Vegas, NV. She was a special grandmother to Olivia and Charity Braun of Dover, PA, Beth Braun of Myrtle Beach, SC, Lauren Arter Braun of Hanover, and Reaghan Braun of Hanover. Very special to Bobbie were her great grandchildren Riley and Audrey Braun of Hanover. Also surviving is her brother Richard Kauffman of Chambersburg and sisters Alita Kitzmiller of Greencastle, PA, Betty Hoover of Salisbury, MD, June Berger, Joyce Michaels, and Lynda Sprecher all of Hagerstown, MD. Bobbie was preceded in death by a brother Charles Kauffman and a sister Phyllis Troxel. A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday morning, September 12, 2007, at Marburg Memorial Gardens, Grandview Rd., Hanover. Viewing will be Tuesday evening 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover, PA 17331.
