Evelyn Holcomb

Evelyn Holcomb, 59, of Hanover and formerly of Eldersburg, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at her home.

Born on Tuesday, October 22, 1963 in Farmville, VA, she was a daughter of Ruby Townsend Frederick and the late Richard Holcomb. She was preceded in death by her step father, William Frederick; step mother, Lee Holcomb; and her significant other, Bob Gosnell. Evelyn was a graduate of Hood College and was a member of the Black Rock Church of the Brethren. She was active in the Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous communities and loved working in social services in Westminster, MD.

Survivors include three children, Russell Mossburg, Jr, Lena Mabe and her husband, Ryan, and Rebecca Mossburg and her companion, Brett Trostle; four grandchildren, Hannah, Josiah, and Sarah Mabe, and Kaylee Webb; five siblings, Clayton Frederick and his wife, Lechia, Michael Frederick and his wife, Cricket, Lydia Holcomb, Allison Marsh and her husband, Shawn, and Carl Holcomb; and numerous extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11 AM at Black Rock Church of the Brethren 3864 Glenville Rd, Glenville, PA 17329. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
