Evelyn C. Essick Kellenberger

Evelyn C. Essick Kellenberger, 94, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at her home with her family.

Born on December 17, 1917 in York County, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Florence Deatrick Essick and wife of the late Donald H. Kellenberger, Sr., who died in 2004. She was also preceded in death by her four sisters, Lillian Bell, Mary Leona Ernst, Charlotte Essick and June Berubue and two brothers, William and John Essick.

She had been employed by Middleburg Manufacturing Co. and the Bon Ton Department store. She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a former choir member.

Survivors include a son, Donald H. Kellenberger, Jr. and his wife, Sally; a daughter, Monica S. Heilman and her husband, Phillip, all of Hanover; four grandchildren, Lori Renoll and her husband, Ronald, Debra Giraffa and her husband, Jason, Christopher Heilman and his wife, Sara and Chad Kellenberger; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Renoll and Trent and Taylor Giraffa and one great-grandchild due in August.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 pm Friday, July 13, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with the Rosary being recited at 8 pm.
