Eva Barber Goff, 79, of West Camp, NY, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 while visiting her family in Hanover.
A native of Cementon, NY, she was born on July 23, 1932, the only daughter of ten children, to the late Michael and Mary Matutinovich Barber. She was also preceded in death by eight brothers, Tonsi, John, Pete, Hubie, Joe, Andy, Phil and Mike. She was a 1948 graduate of Catskill (NY) High School.
Eva and her husband, William “Bill” Goff, operated a general store in Cementon for 14 years. Later, she went to work for the Catskill (NY) School District for 25 years, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed boating, golfing, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends. In 2002, Eva and Bill, spent nearly a month visiting her family in Croatia.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, William, and his wife Vanessa, of Guntersville, AL, and John, and his wife Jodi, of Hanover; four grandchildren, Shannon, and her husband, Joseph, Ashley, Lauren and Elise; a great-grandson, Mason; a brother, Jim; a sister-in-law, Pat Barber; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and reception will be held at a later date.
