Eugene R. Bollinger, 81, of York, entered in to God’s eternal care on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Center.
Born on Tuesday, August 25, 1936 in York, he was the son of the late Wilford N. Bollinger and Kathleen Walter Bollinger Burke. He was a 1954 graduate of William Penn High School and was a member of St. Peter’s (Lischey’s) United Church of Christ in Spring Grove. Eugene was a retired truck driver with Free Hart Trucking in Baltimore and later was employed by Maple Donuts.
Survivors include four daughters, Marilyn Tippins of Ludowici, GA, Pamela Smuck, Shirley Liek, and Valerie Kneisley, all of York; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Katherine Seiler officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter’s (Lischey’s) Church Cemetery with military honors being rendered by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
