Emma Nuel Weaver, daughter of Brett and Tonya Heltzel Weaver and sister to Nazareth Emmanuel Weaver, was stillborn on September 10, 2013 at York Hospital.
Early in the pregnancy, she was diagnosed as having Trisomy 13 and Holoprosencephaly, genetic disorders that often lead to death. Her parents chose to love her and learn and grow from every day of the seven months of pregnancy that she was with them. They find strength in the knowledge that where science deemed her condition incompatible with an earthly life, their Heavenly Father gives the assurance that she has been blessed with eternal life.
In addition to her parents and brother, Emma is survived by maternal grandparents, Lynn and Cindi Heltzel; paternal grandparents, John and Monica Weaver; paternal great-grandmother, Loretta Grim, all of Hanover and a large extended family.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:45 pm Sunday evening at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover and will conclude with a blessing from Pastor Gerry Stoltzfoos.
Memorial contributions may be made in Emma’s name to the charity that volunteers to photograph precious memories at the hospital, Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, 2305 E. Arapahoe Road, Suite 220
