Emma Lou Blankenship, 89, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at SpiriTrust Lutheran Retirement Village at Utz Terrace.
Born on Thursday, January 10, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Douglas Orville Blankenship and Ercelia Lucile Davidson Blankenship. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Woodrow Throckmorton and Morris Tannenbaum; and a grandson, Andrew Runion. Mrs. Blankenship played the piano at various churches in the Baltimore area.
Survivors include her daughter, Renee Mummert and her husband, Raymond, of Hanover; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 5, 2024 at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 7225 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224 with The Rev. Ed Michael officiating.
