Emilie Kaye Norris, 20, of Abbottstown, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at her home.
Born on Wednesday, March 15, 2000, she was the daughter of Billy A. Norris of Hanover and Christina K. Myers and her companion, Steven Caswell of Abbottstown. A 2018 graduate of Hanover High School, she attended New Oxford Schools for most of her education. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Abbottstown and was a fan of Snapchat and taking selfies. Em Kaye loved music and animals, especially cats and adored playing with her nephew, who was her pride and joy.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her twin sister, Paige M. Norris of Abbottstown; her brother, Joseph L. Myers and his wife, Katherine of Etters; her nephew, Elijah A. Vinson of Abbottstown; and her maternal grandparents, Donald E. and Sandra A. Myers.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Abbottstown. The family will receive friends at a viewing from 6 pm to 8 pm Tuesday at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover. In compliance with health and public safety directives, those attending will be required to wear masks and be socially distanced. Attendance in the funeral home will be limited.
