Elizabeth “Sis” Krepps Badrick, 88, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center.
Born January 15, 1924 in McSherrystown, she was a daughter of the late Paul H. Krepps, Sr. and Dorothy May Willet Krepps and was also preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Anthony Badrick, who died in 2003; a brother, Leon J. Krepps; and a step-daughter, Cathy Ann Badrick. She was a 1942 graduate of Delone Catholic High School.
Mrs. Badrick retired in 1986, after 25 years of service with the former Farmers Bank & Trust. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Altar Rosary Society, the N.C.C.W, and the Legion of Mary. She was also a member of the National AARP, and the ladies auxiliaries of VFW Post # 2506, Amvets Post # 22, and the Hanover BPOE # 763. She was also a former volunteer with the American Red Cross and Hanover Hospital.
Survivors include three brothers, Paul H. “Snag” Krepps, Jr., Loyola I. “Jack” Krepps, and Francis E. “Frankie” Krepps, all of Hanover; a sister, Dorothy May Sabold of York; a step-son, John A. Badrick; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church by The Rev. Joseph F. Gotwalt. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held 6-8:00pm Monday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover. The Rosary will be recited at 8:00pm.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robert, John, Jeff, and Kevin Krepps, and Bill and Joe Sabold.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5055 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA 17331
