Elizabeth A. LaPresti, 80, formerly of Hanover, died Sunday, May 27, at Green Acres Nursing Home, Gettysburg, where she had been a resident the past four years. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. LaPresti, Sr., who died in 1975. She was the daughter of the late George C. and Margaret (Cullen) Myers. Elizabeth is survived by a son, Thomas J. LaPresti, Jr., and his wife Bernadette, Germany; daughters, Margaret, wife of David Reck, New Oxford; Patricia, wife of Robert Krichten, Jr., Hanover; and Catherine, wife of Robert Niedererr, McSherrystown. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 niece, 3 nephews, and 1 greatniece. She was predeceased by her sister, Catherine Becker. Employed by Sterner's Grocery, Hanover, for a number of years, and Giant Grocery, Hanover, she took a break from employment to care for her elderly mother for five years. Upon returning to work, she was employed by Whisler's Laundry until her retirement. Liz was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Hanover. Funeral services will be held at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover, on Saturday, June 2, beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
