Visitation: Viewings will be Thursday evening 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover with recitation of the rosary at 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday morning at the church.
ELIZABETH J. BETTY MALLETTE, 71, of York, formerly of Hanover, Gettysburg, and Elizabethtown entered into God's eternal care Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at her home. Born in Gouvernour, NY on April 30, 1935, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Josephine E. Denecia Mallette. Betty had been employed by AMP from 1987 to 1989. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Gettysburg. Betty will be sadly missed by her son Terry L. Mallette and wife Brenda of York, her daughter Patricia A. Helm and husband Patrick, Sr. of Bainbridge, PA, 4 grandchildren, Stephanie A. Bynaker and husband Brian, Patrick G. Helm Jr. and wife Diana M., Jessica M. Lawer and husband Jeffrey M.. Jason M. Helm and wife Mary, 4 great grandchildren Kirsten M. Bynaker, Brook E. Bynaker, Amber N. Bynaker, and Tyler A. Lawer, also her brothers and sisters Bob Mallette, Bill Mallette both of Gettysburg, Jim Mallette of Philadelphia, Joe Mallette of Columbia, Mike Mallette, Vickie Petrosky, Josephine Knox, Sally Russo, and Donna Laugerman all of York. She was preceded in death by a grandson Shawn M. Mallette, and a great grandson Alexander S. Lawer. Her mass of christian burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Rd., Hanover.
