Eleanor M. Davis, 89, formerly of Spring Grove, died on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Cross Keys Village-The Brethren Home Community.
Born on May 4, 1925 in Baltimore, she was a daughter of the late Robert O. and Margaret Hample Miller and wife of the late William L. Davis, who died in 1965.
She was previously employed by Westinghouse Electric Company and CBS Corp., retiring after 17 years. A woman with a sense of humor, she always believed that everything happened for a reason. She enjoyed traveling and going to new places.
Survivors include her children; Christine E. Cook-Gerety and her husband, Chris, of Carolina Shores, NC, Richard E. Davis and his wife, Linda, of Abbottstown, and Daniel C. Davis and his wife, Joanne, of Bel Air, MD; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 11 am, Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Baltimore National Cemetery, 5501 Frederick Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21228.
As per her wish, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Harrisburg Office, 3544 North Progress Avenue, Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or to the Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 96280 Washington, DC 20077.
