Elda K. “Mickey” Wiles, 95, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center.
Born Saturday, July 26, 1919 in Spring Grove, she was a daughter of the late Elwood H. Jamison, Sr. and Alta (Sowers) Jamison Mummert, and step-daughter of the late Maurice Mummert. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roger “Bud” Wiles, who died on June 5, 1988; a daughter, Deborah Wiles Sellman; a brother, Elwood H. “Jake” Jamison, Jr.; and a sister, Mildred E. Bankert. Mickey attended school at the Junior Order Home in Tiffin, Ohio. She loved being with the kids at family gatherings and playing old and new board games with the young ones.
She was a loving aunt to her nephew, Robert Bankert of Red Lion, and nieces, Judith Keagy and her husband, Vincent, of Milton, DE and Katherine Laurence of Hanover. She also took great interest in her great and great-great nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.
The funeral will be held at 11 am Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with Pastor Dan Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
