Edward Lee Stevens, Sr., 74, of Hanover, beloved husband of Barbara L. Stevens, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Hanover Hospital.
Born on Wednesday, January 14, 1942 in Brooklyn Park, MD, he was a son of the late Harry L. and Alma C. Conklin Stevens. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ida Harrill.
Edward was a partner with P&H Auto Electric in Baltimore and after he retired, he enjoyed being a security guard at the North Hanover Mall. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Finksburg, MD. He was also a member of the “Band of Brothers” bible study group. Edward enjoyed antique cars, playing golf, and took great pleasure in spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, survivors include two children, Edward L. Stevens, Jr. and his wife, Bonnie, and Amy A. Blubaugh and her husband, Galen, all of Westminster; five grandchildren, Galen Blubaugh, III, and his wife, Stephanie, Shelby Althoff and her husband, Erik, Lauren Blubaugh, Cody Stevens, and Jonathan Blubaugh; a twin sister, Elaine Kirkpatrick and her husband, Terry; and sister, Peggy Stevens.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
