Edna A. Koch, 91, of Hanover, beloved wife of Hans W. Koch, peacefully entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at York South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born on Thursday, April 27, 1933, in Wersen, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Wilhelm and Emma Pieper. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Lothar Pieper. Edna was a former employee of Black and Decker in Hampstead, Maryland and was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover, Soroptimist International, and the Hanover Home Association. Edna loved cooking especially baking, and travelling across Germany and Switzerland with her husband Hans. Gifted with her hands, she enjoyed doing needlepoint, as well as other types of crafts.
In addition to her husband of 64 years, Edna is survived by a daughter, Petra L. Hayden-Wisnewski and her husband, Donald Wisnewski; grandson, John F. Hayden, VI, all of York; and a sister, Rosel Glätzer, of Wersen, Germany.
A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
