Earl P. Lawyer

Earl P. Lawyer, 87, of Hanover, husband of Donna G. Ruby Lawyer, entered into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center.

Born on Saturday, August 29, 1936 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Paul F. Lawyer, Sr. and Elvira Brier Lawyer. He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Alex DiFalco and Earl P. Lawyer, III; three brothers, Arthur, James and Paul; and three sisters, Minnie, Mildred and Betty. Known throughout the Hanover community for his devoted 55 years of service to Culp’s News Agency, Earl was also a member of the New Oxford Social Club and enjoyed watching golf. His greatest joy was spending time with family and traveling to their hometowns to see them.

In addition to his wife of nearly 65 years, he is survived by three children, Robin Rebert and her husband, Mick, of New Oxford, Jill DiFalco and her husband, Rick, of Brownsburg, IN, and Earl Lawyer, Jr. and his wife, Rosemary, of Tucson, AZ; four grandchildren, Shane Rebert, Brianne Smith and her husband, Matt, Ryan DiFalco and his wife, Hillary, and Abby Gould and her husband, Josh; and three great-grandchildren, Brody and Luke Rebert, and Jack Gould.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
