Dorothy Mae Becker, 92, of Hanover, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Hanover Hall following a period of declining health.
Born on April 15, 1921 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Edna Lookenbill Treadway. She was the also preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Martin, two brothers, Frederick and Richard Treadway and three sisters, Janet Marchio, Mary Morela and Geraldine Foley.
Prior to her retirement, she worked for Emeco Industries, Inc. for 35 years. She enjoyed collecting dolls.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary J. Becker and Betty J. Lawrence and her husband, Jack, all of New Oxford; two sons, Charles F. Becker and his wife, Rita of Hanover and Terry A. Becker of Abbottstown, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty J. Dehoff, of Hanover and several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, inurnment will be held privately at Rest Haven Cemetery.
