Dorothy Naomi Clark Johnson, 90, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at York Hospital.
Born on Sunday, January 16, 1927 in Washington, DC, she was a daughter of the late Earl K. and Helen Long Clark. She was also preceded in death by her husband of nearly 64 years, Merle D. Johnson, who died in 2013; and a sister, Helen Thomas. Dottie was a longtime employee of Montgomery Ward in Glen Burnie, MD and was a devout Baltimore Orioles fan. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to Myrtle Beach and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her three children, Terry M. Johnson of Baltimore, Becky Johnson, and Kim Davis and her husband, Larry, all of Glenville; three grandchildren, Shannon France and her husband, Jason, of Spring Grove, Kacie Davis of Hanover, and Kyle Davis of Glenville; three great-grandchildren, Hailey Harris and Oakley Camm, both of Hanover, and Paisley France of Spring Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hanover Area Council of Churches, 136 Carlisle Street, Hanover, PA 17331 for their Meals on Wheels program.
