Dorothy Brumgard Swisher Sisemore

Dorothy “Dottie” Brumgard Swisher Sisemore, 89, of Harlingen, TX died Jan. 6, 2013 at her home.

Born January 11, 1923 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Willam and Minnie Loyer Brumgard. She lived in Hanover many years and promoted the singing group The Pixies Three, before relocating to State College and Oklahoma City by the Petrie Corp., ladies apparel. Following her retirement, she had lived in Bella Vista, AR. before moving to Harlingen, TX.

Dottie lived an active life and loved to play bridge, dance, travel in her motor home and go out with her many friends. She attended Rio Hondo Baptist Church.

Survivors include two children, Ronald Swisher, and his wife Lori, of New Cumberland, PA and Debra Horn, and her husband B.J., of Bella Vista, AR; her loving partner, Forrest Zumbrun; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.


The funeral will be held at 10:00am Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover, PA 17331. Burial will follow in St. Bartholomew Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 9-10:00 am Saturday at the funeral home.
