Doreen Oblack, 56, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, April 13, 2018 at her home.
Born on Wednesday, April 26, 1961 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Dorothy Mechling Oblack of Hanover and the late Darwin D. Oblack. Doreen had worked in the finance department at Sheridan Press until her retirement in 2013. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Abbottstown and took great pleasure in spending time with her three grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and listening to music.
In addition to her mother, survivors include three children, Jessica Reichart and her husband, Grant, of Hanover, Lydia Flinner and her husband, Luke, of East Berlin, and Ethan Walker and his wife, Lorena, of Hanover; three grandchildren, Evelyn and Amelia Flinner of East Berlin and Charlie Walker of Hanover; and two brothers, Duane Oblack of Renovo, PA and Darryl Oblack of Ellisville, MO.
Following cremation, a memorial mass will be said at 11am on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 6084 W. Canal Road, Abbottstown, PA 17301 with The Rev. Timothy D. Marcoe celebrating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends will be received at the church following the service at the church.
