Donna J. Folmer, 82, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center.
Born on Thursday, June 5, 1941 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Leonard L. Lau and Ruth Barnes Lau Wildasin. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Clarence D. “Clem” Folmer, who died in 2017; sisters, Janet Selcholl, Elaine Brown, JoAnn Miller and Linda Schaffer; and brothers, Rodney R. Lau and Gary “Butch” Lau. A 1959 graduate of Eichelberger High School where she served as the class president since the 45th reunion, Donna worked at numerous doctors’ offices in the Hanover area. She was a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hanover Elks BPOE Lodge # 763. Donna enjoyed crafts, activities in the community, going to the beach, especially her annual trips to Florida and Southport, NC, and spending time with her sisters.
She is survived by a son, Christopher Folmer; one grandson, Zachary Folmer; a former daughter-in-law, Ronda Folmer, all of Hanover; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friends, John and Ruthie McDonald.
A private service is planned.
