Donald G. Stelfox

Donald Gladstone Stelfox, 78, beloved husband of Mary Louise Grove Stelfox of Spring Grove, entered into God’s eternal care Monday, July 2, 2012 at his home.

Born August 9, 1933 in Rockdale, MD, he was a son of the late Everard Gladstone Stelfox and Mabel Taylor Stelfox, and was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Becky Sue Stelfox. He was a 1952 graduate of Franklin High School in Reisterstown. Mr. Stelfox was a member of Garber’s Mennonite Fellowship and had been a minister of the Gospel since 1966.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 54 years, are seven children, Wayne L. Stelfox and his wife, Ruth Ann, of Raymond, Alberta, Canada, James G. Stelfox and his wife, Gladys, of Spring Grove, Lucinda S. Ropp and her husband, Lavon, of Eureka, NV, Melinda K. Weaver and her husband, Nelson, of Spencer, WI, J. Daniel Stelfox and his wife, Joanne, of Spring Grove, Loretta D. Miller and her husband Wilbur, of Sparta, WI, and Roxanne J. Stelfox of Spring Grove; three brothers, Arthur Stelfox of Oakland, CA, Reginald Stelfox of Dover, and Everard Stelfox of Portland, ME; 30 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 10:00am Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, 9002 Orchard Road, Spring Grove with Bishop Elvin Horst officiating. Burial will follow at Garber’s Mennonite Cemetery. The family will receive friends at two viewings to be held 2-4:00pm and 6-9:00pm Sunday at Garber’s Mennonite Fellowship, Old Hanover Road, Spring Grove.
