Donald P. Haines, 62, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at his home.
Born on Thursday, July 7, 1955 in Gettysburg, he was a son of Donald E. Haines of Taneytown, MD and the late Caroline DeLawder Haines. He is preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Haines. A gifted artist, he loved to draw. He also enjoyed riding his scooter, going to the beach, and detailing cars. Donald had a great passion for all animals, especially those he could rescue.
Survivors include his companion and caregiver, Judy Swietkoski; a daughter, Melissa Warfield of Hanover; nine grandchildren, McKenzie and Donavyn Yohe, Hunter and Harper Krumbach, Landen Brunk, Camdyn Berwager, Brycen Brunk, and Allysen and Carsen Canup; two brothers, Wesley and Stephen Haines; Judy’s children, whom he considered his own, Brandi Berwager and Amber Canup; his cherished Italian Greyhound, Isaac; and his beloved cat, Snookie.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Foursquare Gospel Church, 518 Wilson Avenue, Hanover. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
