Donald H. Feeser

Donald H. Feeser, 93, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Monday, June 19, 2017 at York Hospital.

Born on Friday, April 18, 1924 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Amos H. and Buelah Sell Feeser. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Jane Martin Feeser, who died in 2013; a sister, Pearl Leese; and two brothers, Gerald and Robert Feeser. He was a member of the Hanover First Church of God and was a US Army veteran of World War II.

Donald retired in 1986 from Black & Decker in Hampstead, MD after 26 years of service and also was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service in the Spring Grove area. As a car enthusiast, he was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) and was one of the founding members of the Gettysburg Region AACA. He was a member of the Harold H. Bair American Legion Post #14, the Hanover Home Association, the Third Armored Division Association, and the Rural Letter Carrier Association.

Survivors include a son, Daniel A. Feeser and his wife, Sally, of Abbottstown; a daughter, Christine Feeser of Laurel, MD; two grandchildren, Kevin L. Feeser and his wife wife, Cori, of East Berlin, Amy R. Witten and her husband, Jesse, of Smithfield, VA; a great-grandson, Mason Witten; a brother, Kenneth Feeser of Logansport, IN; and a sister, Doris Lewis of Takoma Park, MD.

The funeral will be held at 11 am Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Hanover First Church of God. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery with military honors being rendered by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at viewings to be held from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover and at the church from 10:30 to 11 am on Friday.
