Dolores M. Newcome, 77, loving wife of Thomas L. Newcome of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care Saturday, February 8, 2014 at her home.
Born on Tuesday, November 3, 1936 in New Bethlehem, PA, she was a daughter of the late Willis E. and Melzene Young Reichard. She was a 1953 graduate of Brookville High School and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She worked for many years at Lincoln Intermediate Unit and later retired from the office of Dr. Thomas Toner.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 60 years, are two daughters, Debby Jeram and Caralee O’Brien and her husband, Kevin, all of Hanover; a son, Thomas L. Newcome, II and his wife, Connie, of Glen Rock; two sisters, Deanna Phillips of Allentown and Luann Hendrickson of Florida; two grandchildren, Daniel O’Brien and his wife, Jessica, and Kathryn O’Brien; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brady and Jacob O’Brien.
The funeral will be held at 11 am Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Grace United Methodist Church, 55 Albright Drive, Hanover with The Rev. Richard D. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas L. Newcome, II, Kevin O’Brien, Daniel O’Brien, Kathryn O’Brien, Donald Pritchard and Robert Bullers.
The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover.
