Dolores “Dee” C. Lee Parker, 77, of Glenville, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, January 22, 2015. She passed peacefully and surrounded by family at her home following a period of declining health.



Born on April 2, 1937 in Sparrows Point, MD, she was the daughter of the late John F. Lee and Dorothy E. Harris Lee Saxberg and the wife of 60 years to the late Carl F. Parker, Jr. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rochelle Elizabeth Bushey and two brothers, John Raymond Lee and Herbert Harold Lee.



A graduate of Sparrows Point High School, she devoted her life to raising a family and filling their home with love, laughter and music. Dolores enjoyed playing the piano and passed that talent on to many in her family. A lover of words and sensitive to the world around her, she was a skillful writer and penned many poems and books.



She is survived by her seven children; C. Frank Parker, III and his wife, Dawn of Sparks, MD, David W. Parker of Jacobus, Donna L. Stinebaugh and her husband, Daniel of Philadelphia, Caryn R. Bushey and her husband, Shelby of Dover, Dorothy A. Lutz and her husband, Timothy of Columbus, OH, Curtis W. Parker and his wife, Julie of Roseau, MN, and Crystal E. Newcomer and her husband, Larry of Jacobus; twenty grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Lee and his wife, Patricia of Simpsonville, KY and Ernie Saxberg and his wife, Janis of The Villages, FL; a sister-in-law, Myrna Lee of Baltimore, MD and many nieces and nephews.



The funeral will be held at 11am Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2100 Hollywood Drive, York, PA with Bishop Gregory Baughman officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover, and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
