Services: A funeral service to remember and celebrate her life will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday morning at Grace United Church of Christ, 100 Fourth Street, Hanover.
Visitation: Viewing will be Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover.
Dolores K. Boyer, 79, of Hanover entered into God's eternal care 11:32 A.M. Thursday morning, May 15, 2008 at Hanover Hall. She was the wife of the late Richard C. Boyer who died November 30, 1987. Born in Hanover on September 5, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Melvin A. and Gertie E. Stump Trone. Dolores had been employed at F.X. Smith for 35 years until retiring in 1995. She was a faithful member of Grace United Church of Christ and often helped when needed in the church nursery. Dolores attended Golden Age luncheons and served as a volunteer for the PAL lunch program. She was also a special caregiver and took care of the family pets when asked. But most of all, Dolores loved her family and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all. She will be missed by all who knew her but especially her children Richard W. Boyer and wife Becky of Hanover, Carolyn Y. Bollinger and husband Larry of Hanover, Deborah K. Wierman and husband William of Hanover, Randy L. Boyer and wife Faith of Thomasville, eight grandchildren, one step granddaughter, six great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, and two brothers Burnell Trone of Manchester, MD, and John Trone of Dover, PA. Dolores was also preceded in death by four brothers Charles, Ralph, Richard and Melvin Trone, and three sisters Mary Markle, Hilda Landis and Ruth Bollinger. A funeral service to remember and celebrate her life will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday morning at Grace United Church of Christ, 100 Fourth Street, Hanover. Viewing will be Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Bruce P. Bouchard will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Church of Christ, 100 Fourth St., Hanover, PA 17331. Serving as Pallbearers will be Matthew Boyer, Brandon Markle, Keith Grove, David Highlands, MIchael Barca and Fabian Kirkendoll.
