Dennis J. Hartmann Sr.

Dennis J. Hartmann, Sr., 70, of Hanover and formerly of Glen Burnie, MD, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at his home.

Born on Friday, April 11, 1947 in Baltimore, he was a son of the late Emil and Florence Wimpling Hartmann. He was also preceded in death by his brother, William "Bill" Hartmann. An avid outdoorsman, he took great joy in hunting and fishing. Dennis also enjoyed playing pool around town whenever he could.

Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Newton and her husband, Gene, of Reading; three sons, Dennis Hartmann, Jr. and his wife, Melissa, and Brian Hartmann, all of Hanover, and Tony Albi of Houston, TX; a grandson, Christopher Hartmann of Hanover; two granddaughters, Julia and Kara Newton, both of Reading; one niece; and one nephew.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5055 Grandview Road, Hanover with The Rev. Ryan M. Fischer celebrating.
