Debbie R. Schumacher

Debbie R. “Little Deb” Schumacher, 53, of Hanover, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Hanover Hospital.

Born on Monday, December 30, 1963 in Baltimore, she was a daughter of the late Grover C. “Bud” and Garnet L. Lester Livingood. She was a Certified Nursing Assitant at several nursing homes, including Hanover Hall and The Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community. After Debbie rode the “electric slide” all up and down on the East Coast, she finally settled down in Hanover and became a member of the Hanover Pool League and the Hanover Fraternal Order of Eagles - Aerie#1406. Debbie enjoyed the small things in life. She liked being outdoors, knitting, crocheting, and shopping. On Friday nights, you could find Debbie and her family singing their hearts at karaoke events. She was a people person who you could always count on to have a good time with, especially if there was a shot of tequila involved.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Jimmy Schumacher; two sons, Jimmy Schumacher, Jr., and his wife, Heather, of Alabama and Timothy Shifflett and his wife, Jamie, of West Virginia; a daughter, Olivia Garver of Hanover; five grandchildren; two brothers, Mike Livingood and his wife, Brenda, of Baltimore and Charlie Livingood and his wife, Rose, of Virginia; and one sister, Darlene Syphers and her husband, Dana, of Florida.

Following cremation, a celebration of Debbie’s life will be held starting at 1pm on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the home. The family may be contacted for the address.
