Dawn S. (Weaver) Gesiorski, 88, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center.
Born on Thursday, August 23, 1934 in Hanover, she was raised by her guardian parents Millard and Carrie Garman. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Gerald J. “Ski” Gesiorski, who died in 2018. A 1952 graduate of Eichelberger High School, she was a contestant for the Cancer Fund in 1957 which was sponsored by the Hanover Moose Lodge. Dawn and Ski owned and operated Lil Bit of Chicago Restaurant and Juke Music & Games. She had also been employed as a teletypist for Doubleday Publishing and as a typist for The Caller-Times Newspaper in Corpus Christi, TX. Dawn attended Calvary Bible Church in Hanover.
Dawn loved being with her family and friends. She enjoyed travelling and taking care of her home and was well-known for saying, “I had it all and I have done it all.”
Survivors include her two daughters, Carol Lynn Greenholt and her husband Gary, of Hanover and Kathy Jo Sipe and her husband Morrell of York Haven; and a grandson, Garin Charles Greenholt of Meridan, CT.
A service to celebrate the life of Dawn will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, July 14, 2023 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway in Hanover with Pastor Dominic Aquilino officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
