David J. Petry
David J. Petry, 55, of Lancaster passed away peacefully Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster.
Born November 5, 1954 in Hanover, he was a son of Winifred Leese Petry of Hanover and the late Charles R. “Bob” Petry. He was a 1972 graduate of Delone Catholic High School and received a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Millersville University in 1976.
David was a longtime employee of H&F Tire Service in Lancaster. He enjoyed listening to music and the company of his cats. He was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two brothers, Stephen Petry of Hanover, and Philip Petry and his wife, Cathy, of Middletown; a sister, Theresa Petry of Hanover; a niece, Kristy Warhola; a great-niece, Kayla Warhola; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. John A. Szada, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery. There will be no viewing; however the family will receive friends 9:30 to 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
