Dale A. Gates, 66, of Hanover died Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at his residence.
Born on July 23, 1946 in Whitesboro, NY, he was a son of the late Frederick and Wilhelmina Kirk Gates. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Carol Vandewater.
He was previously employed by Ross Industries in Culpepper, VA and Bendix in Sydney, NY.
He is survived by two daughters, Juli Eberhart and her husband, John of Hanover and Michelle Manning of Utica, NY; three sons, Todd Gates and his wife, Janet and Tom Gates, all of Clearville, PA and Trent Gates and his wife, Jessica of Macungie, PA; three grandsons, Tyson, Coulson and Sullivan Gates; two brothers, Barry Gates and his wife, Cathleen and Alan Gates and his wife, Trudy; one sister, Laurel Heburn; a brother-in-law, Dubois Vandewater, all of NY and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 11 am on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Hanover Church of God, 600 Fairview Drive, Hanover, PA with The Rev. Jerry Shoap officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Ministries, 529 Carlisle Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
