Daisybelle J. Storm

Daisybelle J. Storm, 86, of Hanover, beloved wife of Melvin L. Storm, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on Saturday, April 5, 1930 in York, she was a daughter of the late Burton and Daisy Leiphart Heagy. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Burton and Elwood Heagy; five beloved dogs, Boomer, Christie, Jackie, Buddy, and Bear; and one special horse, Nancy.

Daisy was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Hanover VFW Post #2506 Women’s Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Hanover Home Association and had been employed at Hanover Pen Corp. in the Medx division. She supported local humane societies and shelters. She enjoyed playing cards, doing word finds, completing puzzle books, and had been an avid roller skater in her younger years.

In addition to her husband of 55 years, survivors include two daughters, Daisy “Sis” Snyder-Markley and her husband, Chris, of York and Kathy J. Storm-Pressel and her spouse, Julie, of Abbottstown; two granddaughters, Lisa Lindstrom and her husband, Kevin, and Wendy Ruby; three great-granddaughters, Teisha Ruby, Katie and Breanna Mundorf; and one great-great grandson, Tavin Mundorf.

A funeral will be held at 2pm Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Kraig L. Faust officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery in York. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers for the service will be Julie L. Pressel, Andrew J. Yates, Caleb P. Yates, Duane Wolf, Matthew Wolf, Kevin Lindstrom, and Tavin Mundorf.
