Clyde L. Brown

Clyde L. Brown, 78, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care Thursday, November 17, 2011 at his home.

Born April 12, 1933 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Russell V. and Mary Panebaker Brown, and was also preceded in death by his brother Noah Brown. He was a 1951 graduate of Eichelberger High School.

Mr. Brown retired in 1990, after 37 years of service, from Doubleday Publishing where he was a compositor. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.

Survivors include two nephews, Neal Brown of Littlestown, and Paul Brown of Hanover; and four nieces, Holly Barthold of Hanover, Judith Schriver of East Berlin, Beverly Chrismer and Robin Chrismer, both of Littlestown.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Kenneth S. Heasley officiating. Burial will follow in the Christ Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Church of Christ, 116 York Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
