Clarence “Spanky” Myers, Jr. 57, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Hanover Hospital following a period of declining health.
Born on March 17, 1955 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Clarence F. Myers, Sr. and Doris Bailey Myers. A 1973 graduate of Westminster High School, he was a self-employed and over the road truck driver for more than 30 years. In addition to Hanover, he had resided in Kentucky, Florida, Maryland and Bradford, PA. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie # 1406 and enjoyed NASCAR, four-wheeling and the outdoors. His family was of great importance and shared a special love for the French Bulldogs which he helped breed.
He is survived by his two daughters, Stacy Myers of Kevil, KY and Tiffany Jo Oquist of Dover; three granddaughters, Olivia, Morgan and Hannah Myers; a sister, Brenda Cox of Finksburg, MD; three nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara L. Weller.
Services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover, PA 17331 to help defray his final expenses.
