Services: The funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway with Pastor Jerry Shoap officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery with military honors being provided by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 on Tuesday evening as well as one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Christopher Trish, 60, of Glenville, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2008 at Hanover Hospital following a period of declining health.Born in Hanover on January 18, 1948, he was the son of Hilda Leese Miller and the late Robert Theodore Trish. He was also preceded in death by a son, Shawn Trish. A 1967 graduate of South West High School, he was employed by Penn Mar Castings for over 20 years. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, earning a Purple Heart. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying both hunting and fishing as well as cheering on his favorite football team, the NY Giants.Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Vicki; two sons, Jason Alan Trish and his wife, Shelby of Hanover and Troy Lynn Trish of Arizona; and two grandsons, Brady Alan Trish and Isaac Hoke.Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Trish, Troy Trish, Scott Helwig, Doug Mosley, Stephen Sitler and Darvin Sterner.
Memorials: Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Harrisburg Office, 3544 N. Progress Ave, Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
