Charlotte M. Krill, 68, of Hanover, beloved wife of Dr. Richard L. Krill, entered into God’s eternal care Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at her home.

Born May 8, 1943 in Riverhead, NY, she was a daughter of Frank J. McKay of Riverhead, NY and the late Helen Dobeck McKay. A member of the 1960 class of Riverhead (NY) High School, she was also a 1964 graduate of Fredonia (NY) College. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Mrs. Krill was a lifelong educator having taught second grade in the South Western School District for 25 years. An avid gardener, she enjoyed working in her yard year round, and also gathering with her friends for tea and shopping. She adored her grandchildren and took great pride in caring for them.

Surviving, in addition to her father and her husband of 43 years, is a son, Richard L. Krill, III and his wife, Michelle, of Spring Grove; two daughters, Jennifer K. Russell and her husband, Matthew, of Baltimore, MD, and Julie K. Hersh and her husband, Stephen, of Glenville; two brothers, William McKay of Riverhead, and Dennis McKay of Boston, MA; one sister, Kathy Stevens of Westhampton, NY; and six grandchildren, Brayden and Piper Krill, Marion “Mimi” and Grace Russell, and Jackson and Nicholas Hersh.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, May 21, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with The Rev. Joseph F. Gotwalt serving as celebrant. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Hanover & Spring Grove, 440 N. Madison Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
