Charles Frederick Sprinkle, 66, of Hanover, husband of Linda B. Sprinkle, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at his home.
Born on Sunday, August 27, 1950 in Upperco, MD, he was a son of the late Charles W. and Goldie Wisner Sprinkle. Fred was a 1969 graduate of Hereford High School and worked in the heavy construction industry until he suffered a stroke in 2007. He enjoyed FAST CARS, watching NASCAR races, hunting, fishing, traveling and restoring antique farm tractors. He was also a self-taught student of Civil War history.
In addition to his wife of 46 years, survivors include a son, C. Jason Sprinkle and his wife, Janet; two grandchildren that he loved with his entire heart, Cheyenne and C. Wyatt Sprinkle; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Roger Bell, and Lyle and Darlene Peterson; niece and nephews, Amanda, David and William; an aunt, Betty Sprinkle; and cousins, Wayne and Carolyn Rhoten, Richard and Judy Wilhelm, Mark and Karen Wilhelm, and Joe and Ruth Razzano. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Robert Reese, his loyal friend, who visited often and never forgot Fred.
A funeral will be held at 11 am Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Forest Ridge Cemetery, 17434 Foreston Road, Upperco, MD. Mr. Larry Wilhelm, a life-long friend, will officiate.
