Charles "Chuck" Haven Jr.
Charles “Chuck” Haven, Jr., 79, of Hanover, beloved husband of Marcy Utermahlen Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Transitions Healthcare Gettysburg.
Born on Tuesday, October 7, 1941 in Atlantic City, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles H. Haven, Sr. and Pauline Wirbel Haven. He is also preceded in death by a son, Donald, who died tragically in 1969. A 1959 graduate of Atlantic City High School, he received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland, and worked for the Social Security Administration for 35 years. He enjoyed reading, especially about World War II, listening to the Beatles, watching Seinfeld, and spending time at the beach.
In addition to his wife of 42 years, survivors include four children, Brian Haven and his wife, Tammy, Tim Haven, Christopher Haven and his wife, Melissa, and Dana Small; 12 grandchildren, Tyler, Shannon, Austin, Jackie, Blake, Tori, Braedon, Brianna, Brynlee, Conner, Katie and Zachary; two great-grandchildren, Zayne and Lailah; and two honorary sons, Larry Golden and Robert Small.
Services will be private.
