Carroll W. Wentz

Carroll W. Wentz, 88, passed away on November 2, 2022, at the Gettysburg Center, Gettysburg PA. He was the beloved husband of JoAnn (Coffman) Wentz. Together they shared over 65 years of marriage.

Carroll was born on July 7th, 1934 and was the son of the late Guernsey Wentz and Tempie (Strausbaugh) Wentz. He was also preceded in death by his brother Rodney C. Wentz. Carroll graduated from Spring Grove High School class of 1952 and Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in 1954. His career spanned 45+ years at York Graphic Services in York. Carroll was a member of New Hope Faith Community Church in Hanover. He enjoyed swimming laps at the Hanover YMCA and was an avid golfer.

In addition to his wife, JoAnn, he is survived by his sons, Mitchell A. Wentz, and wife, Angela of Pittsburgh and Michael A. Wentz and wife, Kerri of York; his daughter, Jil E. Tarman and husband, Robert of Mechanicsburg; his grandchildren, Joshua Wentz, Peter Wentz, Ryan Wentz, Austin Tarman, Olivia Tarman, Zachary Tarman and Natalie Tarman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 3 PM at Panebaker Funeral Home 311 Broadway with Pastor Jeff Reaver officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
