Carolyn L. Seibert, 83, of Hanover, loving wife of Robert M. Seibert, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community.
Born on Sunday, November 19, 1933 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Ralph W. and Sara L. Kraber Hamme. She was a 1951 graduate of Eichelberger High School, received her nursing degree from the Hanover Nursing School in 1966, and later served as a Licensed Practical Nurse in many capacities throughout her career. She was a volunteer and advocate for rape crisis, enjoyed playing bridge and going to Cape May, NJ. She will be long remembered for having the gift of hospitality for family and friends, but her greatest passion was caring for her family.
Survivors include five children, Deborah Campbell and her husband, Dennis, of St. Joseph, MO, Melanie Reck and her husband, Steven, Kenneth Seibert and his wife, Jean, all of Hanover, Jeffrey Seibert and his wife, Deborah, of New Oxford, and Sharon Franey and her husband, Jim, of Mohnton, PA; 12 grandchildren, Matthew Campbell, Alison Anders, Laura Campbell, Anne Locke, Jonathan and Peter Reck, Benjamin, Daniel and Justin Seibert, Meredith Schorner, Carolyn Kantner, and Jana Franey; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eleanor Newman of Roanoke, VA.
A funeral will be held at 11 am Monday, August 21, 2017 at Arise! Evangelical Free Church, 109 Flickinger Road, Hanover with Pastor Ronjour Locke officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
