Carol Stern, 89, of Hanover, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Homewood at Plum Creek.
Born on October 11, 1920 in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Olga Ehrlich Ashman. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Ashman.
She taught elementary school in the Baltimore area for over twenty years and was the director for the Har Sinai Nursery School. She was the owner and operator of and served in many capacities at Camp Cedarbrook in Carroll County, MD. She enjoyed traveling and visited many places around the world, including Antarctica and the Galapagos Islands.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Stern of Tucson, AZ and her son, Sander Stern of Rochester, NY.
