Carol M. Kopp, 81, of Hanover, died Monday, October 15, 2012 at Hanover Hall following a short illness.
Born in York Hospital on August 13, 1931, she was the only child of Clair E. and Florence M. Dennis Kopp. She attended Iron Ridge School and was employed by Cremer’s Florist and Sieck Greenhouses for 24 years. She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ, where she was active in the adult Sunday School for over 35 years and served as the Treasurer for the Lay, Life and Work Ministry. An active member of the Gideon Grange #2010 of Hanover, where she was currently serving as Chaplain, she maintained active membership since 1950, thus earning the Golden Sheath Award in 2010. She was also a member of the Spring Grove Historical Preservation Society.
She is survived by an extended family of cousins.
The funeral will be held at 11 am Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Bethel United Church of Christ with The Rev. Lou Ann Jones officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Lischey’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing one hour prior to the service at the church.
