Carol B. Kennedy, 66, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at her home.
Born on Saturday, July 8, 1950 in Austin, Texas, she was a daughter of Elaine Vieira Barham of Austin, and the late Richard W. Barham. Carol attended St. Vincent dePaul Church and loved the arts. She had a way with animals, enjoyed swimming, painting and playing the piano, as well as traveling and learning the cultures of different countries. She was a "fashionista" who loved to shop and was always on the edge of fashion trends. A natural beauty, Carol had a very successful modeling career in the 1970's with Halston and could be seen on the television show Dialing For Dollars in the 70's. In the 90's she had a very successful career in real estate and will be fondly remembered for always being an excellent cook who made the best lasagna. She had such a great sense of humor and was one of the most caring people you could ever meet. Carol also took great pleasure in spending time with her grandchildren and being with friends.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are four children, Stephanie Lecrone of Spring Grove, Todd P. Kennedy and his wife, Melanie, of Abbottstown, Adriane E. Hardy and her husband, Willson, of Longs, SC, and Monica G. Kennedy of Manly Beach, Australia; seven grandchildren, Olivia, Camille, Abby and Natalie Lecrone, Sophia Kennedy, and Trevor and Royce Hardy; two brothers, Richard W. Barham and his wife, Beth, of Dripping Springs, TX and Larry W. Barham and his wife, Mary, of Birkdale, United Kingdom; and two sisters, Marsha Chadwick of San Antonio, TX and Gail Cooper and her husband, Jeff, of Santa Cruz, CA.
A memorial service will be held at 7 pm Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover. the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
