C. Rosalie Noel, 90, died Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Cross Keys Village—The Brethren Home Community.
Born on January 20, 1920 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Esta Garrett Kiick and wife of the late Floyd B. Lau, who died in 1983 and Harry L. Noel, who died in 2004. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Donald Kiick and a sister, Emily Walter.
Rosalie was a 1938 graduate of Eichelberger High School and was later employed by the Gitt Glove Factory during World War II. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, York Street and of the Hanover Chapter #378 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include two sons, David K. Lau and his wife, Jean of Jonestown and Daniel K. Lau and his wife, Pamela of Bethlehem; a step-son, Allan Noel and his wife, Deborah of Spring Grove; a brother, Lynn Kiick; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held 11 AM Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 127 York Street, Hanover with The Rev. Christina Minnich officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the viewing one hour prior to the service at the church.
